Annual public auction at Pittsburgh International Airport lost and found scheduled
The Allegheny County Airport Authority will conduct its annual public auction of abandoned vehicles, used Airport Authority vehicles and equipment, and other unclaimed items from Pittsburgh Airport lost and found at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Heavy Equipment Building on Cargo Road.
Prior to the auction, the Airport Authority donated several boxes of items left longer than 30 days in the airport’s Lost and Found to local charitable organizations. Over 50 boxes of clothing were donated to Circles of Greater Pittsburgh, a nonprofit that assists individuals living in poverty. Additionally, three boxes of unclaimed prescription eye glasses were donated to the Lion’s Club in McKeesport.
All other unclaimed items including jewelry, electronics and more will be auctioned. ACAA items including emergency response vehicles, line painters, and a fork lift, along with other miscellaneous outdoor equipment will be auctioned. Refreshments will also be sold. Pittsburgh Airport lost property
The auction, conducted by licensed auctioneer Joe R. Pyle, will begin at 10 a.m., with doors opening at 8:30 a.m. There will be a 15 percent buyer’s premium with 5 percent waived for cash or check purchase. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted. Payment, inclusive of any taxes and fees, must be made in full at time of auction.
