Glasgow Airport lost property aims to reunite children with their lost toys
In an innovative bid to improve the passenger experience, Glasgow Airport in Scotland has introduced a first-of-its-kind ‘Take Care of my Bear’ tag for any child traveling through the airport with a soft toy. The tags are available at check-in and can be marked with the owner’s details.
Every year hundreds of teddies and soft toys are left behind at the Glasgow Airport lost property, resulting in a distressing beginning or end to a vacation. In the last three months alone, 21 soft toys have remained unclaimed in the airport’s lost and found department and now Luggage Point, the airport’s lost and found operator, is attempting to reunite the lost toys with their owners by featuring them on the airport’s website.
A spokesperson for Glasgow Airport said, “We hope the bears have enjoyed spending quality time at the airport, but their owners must really miss them. We hope that somebody will recognize their furry friend and collect them.
“We’re just softies really, and we’re doing everything we can to make sure more bears don’t get mislaid which is why we’re introducing our new teddy bear tags. We can’t bear for any more teddies to go missing and we understand how traumatic it can be for any child and their parents.” Glasgow Airport lost and found
