At seat 4D in business class. The attendant insisted on taking my coat from me, and said she would return it to me at the end of the flight. She did not do this. I have been trying to find my coat for the time of my holiday. I assumed that, as BA knew which seat they took the coat from, they would email or telephone me to tell me when they would deliver it to me. Impossible to make connection with anyone who could help, in Madeira, ( where I was referred to the airline), via BA which gave me people in Rumania and India who could only give me Heathrow numbers that did not answer (‘unobtainable now, please try again later’ was a typical response’). My coat was taken from by BA, against my will, and is in the care of BA. There must have been many opportunities, as from the seat number, BA knew who I was, how I could be contacted, and had plenty of time at minimal expense to get the cost to me. Why was this not done?. If you can do it with luggage of other sorts, why could not have my cost at my hotel or, at least, taken to Funchal Airport for me to collect, so that I had Warm coat on arrival back in England on your flight 521 on March 13. ? Yes, you BA had the coat 6 days, at a flight a day to Funchal, to restore my coat to me. Please would you do this now at an early convenience. Yes, I was cold in returning from Heathrow home on March 13. I am not suggesting I should have bought something at Heathrow to keep me warm and charged you for it. But I do want my coat back asap. BA chose to take my coat and it is their responsibility to return it to me. |
