I was on the 5PM DELTA flt 790 from PDX to LAX on October 30, 2018. I was one of the last to board the plane and by the time I had gotten to my seat, a lady passenger with her baby was conversing with my Mom asking to switch seats. So I ended up in 26E rather than the aisle as assigned. In the frenzy of getting seated as the doors had closed and ready for takeoff, I put my space grey APPLE MACBOOK 12" laptop (with scratch on edge of cover) along with APPLE navy leather slim cover and SATECHI HDMI adaptor in the seat pocket of 26E. Once we landed, I was just about to grab my laptop and put it in my backpack stored under the seat when the passenger asked if I could hold her baby while she was getting her stuff. Of course, I said yes. And then in that distraction and trying to get my Mom (who needed wheelchair assistance) off the plane, I forgot it. It hadn't occurred to me until our connecting flight from LAX to INC was taking off that I had left the laptop on the plane. By then it was too late to go back to the gate or call, so not until 15 hours later when we landed in INC did I contact my husband to call LAX and file a claim on Delta. To date, and even the Delta Agent said "Good Luck, we get 10 iphones/ipads a day....there are hundreds of thousands of items left behind" There is a tracking device on the laptop if only it is powered on.
