I checked in my luggage at Bole International Airport at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to fly back to LGW on 1st March, my one piece of luggage was checked through [via Istanbul] and the tag attached to my passport. Passport tag details as follows:- DUFFUS HELEN, U33K88 1/12, LGW-TK 1997/01, IST-TK 0677/01 ADD/SS 01 MAR LGW-GATWICK LONDON
When I arrived at Gatwick after a very late flight arrival I had to go quickly to get my flight back home to Scotland [Inverness] without my luggage. When I arrived back in Inverness they advised the gentleman at lost luggage in South Terminal London called Alex who advised me to report it at Inverness was wrong to do so, as Turkish airlines obviously do not go near Inverness. I suspect my bag is wither at, Addis Ababa, Istanbul or Gatwick. It was last seen going on the checked in luggage belt at Addis Ababa. |
