I am writing to report a lost item and to request your assistance in locating it.
On [28, november.2025, while travelling through Perth Airport Terminal 1/2 (Virgin Australia passenger terminal), I checked in my luggage at the Virgin Australia baggage check-in service desk. After payment and completion of the check-in process, it was discovered that one of my items—an electric scooter—contained a lithium-ion battery and was therefore not permitted to be carried on the flight.
As a result, the electric scooter was left at the airport and not loaded onto the aircraft. I was advised at the time that I would be able to collect the scooter upon my return to Perth.
Upon my return to Perth Airport on [4 december,2025, I went to the Virgin Australia Lost & Found service desk to retrieve my electric scooter. However, I was informed that because the item had been left at the terminal and not officially checked in with the airline, it may have been handed over to the Perth Airport Lost & Found Department.
I am therefore writing to kindly request your assistance in confirming whether my electric scooter is currently in your possession. |
